Our teachers were invited to participate in the seminar on deepening cooperation between Chinese and German partner universities

Recently, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China Office of the University of Siegen, the Seminar on Deepening Cooperation between Chinese and German Partner Universities was successfully held in Beijing. More than 50 people attended the seminar and celebration, including Ulf Richter, Dean of the University of Siegen, Yildiz Miller, Deputy Director of the Cultural Office of the German Embassy in China, party and government leaders of China University of Political Science and Law, experts from partner universities and alumni of the University of Siegen. Our faculty member, Associate Professor Zhang Xinzhang, and Professor Raphaela Averkorn, a special researcher of the Institute of International Politics, were invited to participate.

Professor Averkorn presented the successful experience of SEGEN University and Zhejiang University in applying for the EU Erasmus program, supporting the exchange of faculty and student visits, co-organizing postgraduate seminars and co-organizing bilateral conferences as successful cases in the lecture Successful models of cooperation between SEGEN University and Chinese universities.

It is reported that the second phase of the Erasmus program jointly applied by the University of Siegen and the School of Marxism of Zhejiang University is being implemented, which will send 8 postgraduates to visit the University of Siegen for half a year; select some German postgraduates to come to our school for internship; co-organize an international academic conference; and organize a lecture group again to hold a seminar on Chinese Politics and Culture in the Comparative Perspective of China and Germany at the University of Siegen. A postgraduate discussion course on Chinese Politics and Culture in the Comparative Perspective of China and Germany will be held at the University of Siegen. The in-depth cooperation between the School of Marxism and the Department of Philosophy of the University of Siegen will help to further enhance the internationalization of both schools.
